Do You Have A Positive Parenting Plan?

Here Are Some Simple Strategies To Help Your Kids Thrive.

Your Positive Parenting Plan.
“If you want your children to improve, let them hear the nice things you say about them to others.”–Haim Ginott.
Whether you are the parent of a toddler, young child, tween or teenager, you will eventually encounter some challenges with your child. Don’t panic, it’s all a part of parenting! It is only natural for childen to test their parents or guardians.
Toddlers aged 3 to 4 present their own special parenting situations. As they learn to talk and state in simple terms what they need, toddlers require you to use simple and immediate behavioural strategies to rein in their unruly behaviours.
Young children aged 5 and 6 years have gained a little more self-control and developed more skills about what to do and not do.They will test you on issues that are important to them. Young children observe and mimic others and will learn to handle anger and other feelings.
The behaviour of older kids, from age 7 to 11, ranges from well-behaved to manipulative. Around the age of 9 or 10, childrens’ brains develop reasoning skills and can make simple decisions. Your positive parenting plan should include ensuring that the appropriate consequences follow for whatever your child does.
By the time your children are teenagers they are maturing into “mini-adults.” They can think for themselves and state what they want. Kids falling in the latter end of this age group have worked out how to manipulate adults to get what they want. Hopefully, by this time, as parents you will know what consequences best ensure that your child behaves appropriately.
If you have a positive parenting plan with plenty of ideas and strategies, you will be well placed to weather any parenting storm that arises.
Applying positive parenting techniques to all of these age groups will help you raise a child who is generally respectful, well-behaved and attentive to adults around them.
“The voice of parents is the voice of gods, for to their children they are heaven’s lieutenants.”–William Shakespeare.
Regardless of the age of your children, using a positive parenting plan will help you shape your kids into contributing members of society. Keeping your cool, being positive by avoiding debates/arguments and providing choices for your children as they grow will result in raising emotionally healthy and confident young people.
Apply these positive parenting techniques when parenting. If you do, your children will grow up in a stable home filled with consistency, respect and love.
